Roles: Writer / 1st AD
Hi, I'm Graeme and I'll be using my previous writing experience to help create a shooting script for the film by translating our ideas and concepts into on-screen images. I will research our chosen topic in depth and first create a conceptual map of what we want to achieve, with input from the group. Then between filming and editing, I will head the writing of our post-shoot script, gathering and ordering all the necessary elements for editing.
As First Assistant Director also, I will be responsible to the director; relaying instructions to the other team members and taking care of the day-to-day running of the shoot. I will need to be intimately familiar with the shooting script in order to track progress against it, and have a clear understanding of the other departments' duties and targets in order to supervise when the director is unavailable.
