28th September 2012
Time: 15:00 - 16:00
Taken by Louise Hart
People Present: Jess, Alice, Graeme, Kayleigh, Louise.
We discussed which roles would be suited to us best for the project,
but also agreed that exploring other roles would benefit us all. Louise will be
directing, Jess will be the D.O.P, Kayleigh the Producer, Graeme the Writer and
Alice the Sound engineer.
We have decided to all come up with suggestions for the name of our production company for the next meeting, as well as a topic for the documentary. Tasked each other with coming up with at least two good ideas by the next meeting.
10th October 2012
Time: 13:00 - 14:05
Taken by Louise Hart.
People present: Jess, Alice, Kayleigh, Graeme, Louise.
We met to discuss the progress of the project so far, starting with the production name. Jess explained that the name "Rugulent" was a word her dad had invented, and that it has connotations of being both rough and yet elegant - a style we wish to employ for our documentary, gritty content with elegant filming.
We all agreed that this would be a suitable and original name. We also agreed that the production logo that Jess had designed was inventive and aesthetically pleasing.
We then discussed what our documentary's subject would be. Everyone present agreed that the proposed investigative documentary concerning a man who collects sex dolls would be original and interesting; however we also accepted that the couple in question live in Madley, rather far from our location, and that they had not agreed to be filmed yet.
Graeme's idea of producing a documentary about the deterioration of the work of the ice cream man, also proved popular with our group. However, we did consider that it would be difficult to film an ice cream man working at this time of year.
17th Oct 2012

Spoke about logo and background for yolasite - agreed upon a new design which works for us all as the previous logo idea ended up not working as well as we thought.
Looked through the profile pages and sorted out who needed to do what in terms of uploading information- needed profile write ups.
Spoke about key documentary ideas - boys dance, sex dolls.
1st November 2012
Time: 16:00 - 16:35
Taken by Louise Hart.
People Present: Jess, Alice, Graeme, Kayeligh, Toby and Louise.
We discussed a request from Toby to join our group. Toby had approached us and asked to join, everyone present was pleased with this and in agreement that he should join. With this change to our group came a change in roles. Toby will now be directing our production instead of myself, and I will focus mainly on the art department and lighting. I will also work closely with the camera-operator and assist with editing when required. Alice stayed with her role as a sound operator, Graeme with scriptwriting and first assistant director.
Jess and Kayleigh swapped roles for the project after discussing strengths and weaknesses. Jess is better at Producing and organising the group, whereas Kayleigh felt that she was stronger in a more creative/camera style role.
Jess is now the Producer and Kayleigh the DOP. They are also both joint head editors.
